Don't Worry - We’re Still Human
It might seem as if your hopes for a post-covid world filled with love, understanding, or even kindness, are now ruined by some sort of winner-takes-it-all race, where everyone you meet is a flawless success robot, a stockbroker bit-coin-vulture, flipping our world into a real-time casino where finder's keepers, losers weepers, prices rise, rich gets richer, and poor stay broke - all suitably accompanied by ABBA-avatars taking greed to a new level by miming old songs to a new audience.
And it might look as if the right-wing extremists, with their fear-mongering rhetorics, are succeeding in their claims that the worst-case scenario is already upon us. That walls are inevitable, the bomb is imminent, and hate is just the means to an end.
And it might feel as if AI chat robots are the final nail in the coffin and the annihilation of the humane spirit has begun like a sped-up version of the 'Invasion of the Body Snatchers'. As if the end of the world is just one click away. One wrong day - one right question.
But don’t worry. There are still humans out there. Full of life, love, and care, carrying memories, ideas, and visions.
I know - because I’ve met them.
