I Made This!

I believe creativity is a never-ending broadcast. It's like a 24/7 radio station transmitting its waves through time and space. And sometimes, when I manage to tune in to the right frequency, all I need to do is take notes of whatever program is on.

Sometimes I fail. Sometimes it's just inaudible noise. And sometimes my radio appears broken, and all I hear is silence.

But creativity feeds creativity. It doesn't matter what channel I’m listening to, as long as I’m tuned in to the show. Because my station will give me suggested playlists and as soon as the first show ends, another will start. I just have to make sure my radio is on.

When words fail, images fade, and the music stopped playing, needlework is a shortcut to prayers.

And getting my hands dirty - to create something I can touch and feel - is probably the best radio receiver I've got. It clears my mind and forces me to practice my fine-tuning.

So, yesterday I ripped apart a pair of G-Star RAW, model 5204, and fixed a broken footstool. I wish I could show a before picture - as all those do it DIY-shows do - but I can’t. You have to trust me; this is an improvement.
